Tennessee Teen Stabbed and Used as Human Shield at Pittsburgh Target Store.

According to a Pittsburgh police spokesperson, 16 year-old Allison Meadows, from Tennessee, was on spring break in Pittsburgh, PA with her family. She was stabbed this past Monday after she was used as a human shield by a homeless man inside a Target store.

The homeless man, 41 year-old Leon Raymond Walls, who was purportedly fleeing from other people after being involved in a fight nearby, entered the Target store at around 5:30 p.m. Monday with a knife in his hand.

Witnesses say that the man first headed towards the restrooms at the rear of the store as two men entered the store looking for him. Walls proceeded to the checkout lanes where he grabbed Meadows, using her as a human shield between him and the two men.

Walls then stabbed Meadows and the two men who were chasing him.

Meadows suffered a collapsed lung and a few superficial wounds from the stabbing. Her doctors expect her to make a full recovery.

One of the men supposedly chasing Walls required surgery to repair a facial wound he sustained in the knife attack. The other man received treatment for a hand wound and was released from the hospital.

Walls was arrested and is being held on $250,000 bail.
