High School Freshman Girl Killed in Indiana Train Wreck.

Boston Personal Injury LawyerChloe Burks, 15, was killed Wednesday after being struck by a train while walking south along the train tracks after her high school had let out in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

Local Cedar Lake Police Sgt. Keith Wood said that it appeared Burks was wearing her headphones in her ears at the time of the train accident and never saw the train coming.

Officials indicate that the tragic train wreck took place at around 3:40 p.m. after Burks had just finished walking a friend home after school. Burks’ friends said that she was headed back to school for soccer practice as she walked along the train tracks. Burks died after she was struck by a 75-car freight train.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of this tragic train accident.
