After a recent citizen protest against a Tea Party rally on the Boston Common, Boston police are reviewing their response to the protestors. Photographs began circulating online that show a Boston police officer with his hand around the throat of a protestor. A spokeswoman for the Boston Police Department said that the aggressive nature of the protestors required that many additional police officers respond. The department will review all activities that took place during the protest, however, as a matter of routine procedure. The University of Massachusetts Boston student who posted the photographs online says he plans to contact the American Civil Liberties Union about the police officer’s conduct in the photograph.
