Thieves Crash into Jewelry Store with Stolen Car.

Stockton, California Police report that thieves used a stolen sport utility vehicle to drive through the window of a local jewelry store on the evening of January 31.

Surveillance footage shows the suspects using hammers to get into the display cases and steal merchandise after the auto crash. In spite of shards of glass from the broken window remaining in the area, the store was able to open the day after the crash.

Stockton Police have released the photographs of the suspects captured by security cameras. Local authorities are hoping that someone may see the photos and recognize the four suspects.

Newtown, Connecticut Shooter’s Motives Remain Unknown.

Connecticut and federal police have still not been able to determine any motive for Adam Lanza’s slaughtering of dozens of people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012.

The FBI has been unable to retrieve any useful data, to date, from the smashed computer and hard drive they recovered from Lanza’s home. Cyber lab technicians do not believe they will be able to obtain anything significant from these pieces of a broken hard drive.  They are attempting to recreate his Internet searches leading up to the wrongful death incident and are also checking his email records.  Police are also searching his credit card records, as well as his mother’s credit cards for any clues that may help the investigation.  They have also concluded that his mother Nancy Lanza purchased the weapons used in the wrongful death killings.

Nursing Home Sued for $1.2 Million for Wrongful Death.

The family of Ristosija Lembovski has filed a $1.2 million nursing home abuse and elder neglect lawsuit against Rose Garden Villa in Ontario, Canada.  

This is after Lembovski wandered away from the nursing home facility, and was later found dead in the Detroit River.

The elder neglect and nursing home abuse lawsuit lists 27 different ways the facility was negligent in caring for Lembovski. Rose Garden Villa denies any wrongdoing in the wrongful death incident, but has also installed an alarm on its front door following Lembovski’s disappearance and death.

The wrongful death victim’s daughter-in-law, Katherine Lembovski, contends that Rose Garden Villa failed to create a reasonable and safe care plan for staff members to follow.
