His first poem \u201cWhen Doctor Death Calls\u201d was published in Volume #47 of Soul Fountain. \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/newversenews.blogspot.com\/2014\/04\/an-unjust-law.html\">An Unjust Law<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/newversenews.blogspot.com\/2014\/05\/as-gandhi-lay-dying.html\">As Gandhi Lay Dying<\/a>\u201d were published in April and May, respectively, in The New Verse News, and \u201cOde to Sisyphus\u201d was selected for the April\/May\/June 2014 edition of The Story Teller Magazine, which has just been released. \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/newversenews.blogspot.com\/2014\/06\/what-matter-most.html\">What Matters Most<\/a>\u201d was published in the New Verse News this month,\u00a0and will be published in the next issue of the Clark Street Review. Most recently, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/eyeonlifemag.com\/poetry-unlocked\/a-sense-of-self\">A Sense of Self<\/a>\u201d\u00a0and \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/eyeonlifemag.com\/poetry-unlocked\/small-packages\">Small Packages<\/a>\u201d were\u00a0published by Eye On Life Magazine on June 14.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to being an exceptional lawyer, Gil Hoy studied poetry at Boston University, and started writing his own poetry in February of this year.
