The parents of a Duxbury, MA hockey player who was hit with a “bone-crushing check” during a high school hockey game say that the check should be considered to constitute criminal assault and battery. The parents are seeking to press criminal charges.
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has said that it became aware of the incident recently, but that it has no plans to take any action. The Duxbury student who was hit with the check was diagnosed with a concussion.
