A Neward, New Jersey mother, who has been charged with child endangerment, claims that the sun burned her daughter and not the tanning booth that prosecutors say the mother brought her daughter into.
The daughter was five at the time of the alleged incident in mid-April of this year. The owner of the City Tropics Salon in Nutley, NJ, which the defendant mother visits quite frequently, said that employees present on the day of the alleged incident confirmed that the daughter remained with her father and brother outside of the booth, mindful of the signs posted in the salon referring to New Jersey laws barring anyone under the age of 14 from getting into a tanning booth.
