According to a recently-filed report from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Patrick John Gainey was killed when he was part of a serious motorcycle crash on Highway 152. Gainey, a resident of Kannapolis, North Carolina, was riding his motorcycle east when he crossed the centerline and flew off the road, according to the report.
