Boat Explodes in Florida Canal.

An unoccupied boat was docked in the Dania Beach canal in Florida, when neighbors suddenly smelled smoke and saw flames.  The neighbors called 911, and suddenly saw the boat explode and then go up in flames.

The owners of the boat had rented the space from homeowners near the canal, but the homeowners and boat owners were both away at the time of the boat fire.

After the explosion, the boat leaked petroleum all over the canal, and witnesses were worried that the flames would spread further.  Once firefighters arrived at the scene, they extinguished the flames before they reached other docked boats.

An initial investigation reveals that a leak in the boat may have caused the fire.
